Whether its research into a life saving medicine, helping young girls excel at math and science, or teaching people preventative medicine, at NPC, we understand that being a leader means leading locally as well as globally.
NPC is committed to improving the health and wellness of all people. Our philanthropic initiatives represent innovative, sustainable programs that are patient-centered and focus upon patient education. We are equally committed to developing meaningful partnerships with non-profit organizations that are committed to enhancing quality of life, recognize the interest of our employees, and address significant social issues related to health, education and civic engagement in the communities where Novartis operates. Support is given to a broad spectrum of agencies and programs assisting underserved populations, including:
- Health and disease state awareness programs;
- Educational initiatives, in partical, math, science, and technology programs; and
- Local civic and community development initiatives.
Funding requests must be submitted on-line and the requesting organization must have a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit status as outlined by the Internal Revenue Code.
All applications for support should include:
- Name and mission of organization
- Brief description of purpose of request and a statement of how Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation funds will be used
- Copy of declaration document verifying section 501(c)3 status of the organization
- Copy of current operating budget as well as budget for the program outlined in the grant request
- List of other program funders, and the amount of their contribution
- List of board members and staff (full and part-time)
- Three specific goals with corresponding outcomes to be accomplished by the proposed program
- An audited financial statement.
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation's funds and products are not available for the following:
- Trips and tours
- Sporting events, including golf/tennis tournaments
- Air shows and auctions
- Travel support
- Fraternal and political organizations, purely social and religious projects
- Individual support, scholarships or graduation parties
- Loans or start-up funds or businesses
Novartis also supports a range of grants including the following:
Professional Medical Education grants that support independent accredited and non-accredited medical education for healthcare professionals.
Patient Advocacy and Professional Association grants (non healthcare professional education) that support independent patient education and outreach in the patient community and general fundraising events.
