Employee Engagement – Volunteerism and Community Outreach

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation seeks to enhance quality of life by providing our employees with opportunities to volunteer their training and leadership skills to develop and support sustainable communities.

Our employee engagement initiatives include:

Community Partnership Day, an annual volunteer impact day that showcases NPC's global commitment to volunteerism. Employees volunteer off-site, on-site and through collection drives.

Black and Latino Achievers Corporate Mentoring Program, an educational partnership with the Summit, NJ, YMCA that provides high school students active in the YMCA's Achievers Program with a week-long corporate mentoring experience.

Blood Donor Program, which offers NPC employees the opportunity to donate blood through quarterly blood drives.

On-site Mentoring Program, which provides students from McKinley School in Newark, NJ the opportunity to visit NPC once a week to meet with employee volunteers who tutor and mentor the students.

Community FoodBank receives monthly visits from NPC employees and their families who volunteer after hours. The group sorts and packs hundreds of pallets of food throughout the year for distribution to needy families throughout northern New Jersey.
