Hypercalcemia (HY-per-cal-SEEM-ee-a) means that there is too much calcium in the blood. It happens in some patients who have cancer. Hypercalcemia usually appears during the later stages of cancer. Too much calcium in the blood can lead to serious problems including tiredness, vomiting, and others.
