Parkinson's disease is called a motor system disorder. The motor system affects how we move. Parkinson's disease usually occurs in late middle age, but it can also appear in younger people. It can cause trembling of the hands, arms, and other parts of the body. It may also cause stiffness, slowed movements, or balance problems.
